BGSD Men's Distressed Faux Shearling Car Coat

I just received this coat today and wore it to dinner. I had 3 different strangers asking about where I bought it. The material looks like a 20 year old coat, and is very soft to the touch. It feels and looks like a $700.00 leather coat. I paid less than fifty with free shipping. The best online and retail clothing purchase I have made dollar vs value. If I found this on a rack in a department store I would pay over 250.00 without hesitation. I very good find.

I am glad I got this jacket. The key word for me is faux. I was hoping that I can find a nice jacket that is washable. I have a suede jacket that I plan to retire with this one, and my other wool jackets can stay home when it is rainy and wet. However, this jacket looks like a nice suede jacket, so people may cringe that it would appear to be ruined if it starts to rain. (The label says wash cold, hang dry--awesome.)

The "shearling" came as a welcome surprise. I didn't pay attention to the description, and the pictures did not suggest it. It is like having a soft comfortable short fur lining--albeit slightly short fur or thin. The outer jacket is a dark brown / chocolate in color (almost matches my friend's chocolate lab), the shearing is a lighter shade of brown. The shearlings are visible on the collars. Also, if you unbutton the top button, you can see the shearling from the lining that forms from the new V-shape that it forms.

Bought this for my dad for Christmas. He loves it. It is warm, lightweight, and of excellent quality. It looks like a much more expensive coat.
