These were recommended to me by a friend for my husband and they've been fantastic. Normally buy Smartwool socks as my husband works outside construction. He loves the bridgedale socks now. They shape very well to the feet, without losing the stretchiness over his calves. Very warm and comfortable.

I spend a lot of time outdoors. Most weekends Im hiking or camping, during the week Im forced to spend at least 1-2 days outside for work. Recently moving to the MidWest from Arizona, I was unprepared for how cold my feet would get.
I spent most of the winter last year wearing SmartWool socks. After daily use, they seemed to get short, so short they stopped reaching the top of my work boot. This caused chafing from my work boots.

My hopes were not too high, from experience socks are never as long/tall as they claim to be. I was simply hoping for something that would reach above the tops of my work boots.
I was suprised when these socks arrived. I am 6'2" tall, and these socks reached half way up my calf, about 3-4 higher than the top of my boot(ordered the XL size). Not only...Read more

Don't buy anything but Bridgedale or Darn Tough. They're worth the extra cost - unbelievably rugged, amazing cushion and on the longer ones the tops stay up but don't pinch your circulation off; great for everthing I've ever worn them for. They range in thickness from fairly thin to nice and thick depending on your use and needs. Your feet can breathe so in the winter they stay warm & dry and in the summer you don't have that "something's dead" reek which means your shoes won't smell so bad either.
