Canada Goose Classique Beaver Fur Hat: I bought this hat to replace a Chinese-made feather&down-filled "Norman Bethune" cap that I have owned for more than 20 years. I wanted a similar cap with an eye-shade, and fold-down side flaps, rather than the unshaded "aviator style" or Russian-style fur flap-caps which are otherwise excellent head protection for extreme cold conditions.
The Canada Goose Classique Beaver Fur hat initially disappointed me on several counts after I bought it from a reputable Canada Goose dealer in Cambridge, MA. Apart from the luxuriously soft and warm clip-up beaver fur ear and neck flap, the polyester/cotton lined but unfilled construction seemed unremarkable and very over-priced.
