This was the exact jacket that I was looking for. You never know what you will get when ordering clothes on line. This jacket was perfect. Not to light and not to heavy. This is an excellent all purpose jacket. And very well made.

Nice jacket if you have a giant beer belly,

I'm 5'10" 180lbs and a 41 chest as per Carhartt's sizing chart I should fit a Regular Medium. I got the jacket and it's HUGE on me. Even with a thermal, t-shirt, sweat shirt underneath there's so much room in the belly/chest area cold air goes right up front. Forget about trying to sit down with it zipped, the front of the jacket will jut out a foot, it's so bulky it's completely worthless as a warm work jacket. Seriously, can non-beer belly shaped people get clothing that fits anymore? I'm going to try a small and will report back.

I am 5'8" and 175 lb. with a shoulder to fingertip reach of 27" I wear a medium in most Jackets this medium Carhartt fits very well with room for some layers underneath. I'm outdoors in harsh climate, and this Jacket is a life saver, some people keep jumper cables and first aid kits I bring my Carhartt, if you travel keep it with you even if you're not wearing it. This is a very well made Jacket it's tough, warm, blocks briers, wind, rain and resists tearing. I have put it to the test in outdoor use I know it's going to last years longer than other jackets and that makes it worth every penny. I have owned two and three hundred dollar Jackets in the past and none of them were worth what I paid for them the guilty shall remain nameless. I wish it was made in the U.S.A. but at least the company is American owned.
