Love the outside material. The cotton is almost canvas like. The sherpa lining is quite warm and probably suitable for temps down to the mid 30's. Very reasonably priced.
I normally buy X-large to get the sleeve length (I'm almost 6'3") however the Carhartt X-L was
way big on me. Purchased the Large and it was perfect and even then the sleeve length was more on the long side. It took me 4 tries to get the right jacket. The first 2 delivered were X-L Tall even though I ordered X-L . The 3rd of course was correct but exchanged it for another size. Thumbs up to Amazon's customer service.
They answer the phone right away and followed up until I had the right Jacket.

I finally got tired of buying a new winter coat every year or 2, so I sprang for a Carhartt. Did a fair amount of research into brand and style and for the money found that Carhartt offered the most bang for your buck.
I love this jacket. First of all, it is stylish. It just looks good. A good snug fit and not too bulky. Not too bulky but incredibly warm. Carhartt assembles most of their clothing in Mexico now but they say that the materials are USA made. The quality is excellent. Heavy duty materials that are well stitched!
Pros: Warm, interior pockets are good size, stylish
Cons: Outside pockets are a little on the small side and the chest pocket is up awkwardly high
