Columbia Mens Crag Mountain II Softshell Moab-873, Large

I have 2 other Columbia jackets that fit very well - but this one fits very tight around the chest. Not sure why the sizing has changed. Also, the sleeves are a bit long, and the cuff does an OK job of keeping the sleeves up. I like the Velcro wrap approach better. Keep in mind that this is a shell and doesn't really have much insulation but should keep you moderately warm in temps down to about 40.

I was looking for a weatherproof shell that I could talk with me on a 4 day backpacking trip to Colorado. After reading multiple reviews and feeling super confused as to what brand to go with, I took a chance on Columbia and I wouldn't look back. Every shell out there seems to do almost the same thing, but this one does something better it gives you ALL of that for $50 to $100 cheaper.

Keep in minde that this jacket is what is called a technical jacket. It fits very snugly and is form fitting, however, it does allow you to layer with it. I was able to wear a t-shirt and henly under it and kept warm in temps down to 10 degrees. We went through a pretty good couple rain storms and this jacket held up superbly!

I've started riding my bike to school--about 2 miles--sometimes in rain and for that I wanted a soft shell. After looking around, this was the cheapest I could get ($65) with generally good reviews. I'm very happy with this product so far.

Be warned that it doesn't really keep you warm if you're not moving around. I wear a medium but bought a large so that I could wear a fleece under it and paired together I've stayed pretty warm (although winter has yet to hit).

I've ridden to school in pouring rain and arrived perfectly dry underneath this jacket. And the jacket itself dries very quickly.
