I bought this shell for my brother for Christmas. It was much lighter weight than I expected, and definitely not warm enough for where he lives, but it is still a nicely made jacket. I bought it thinking it would zip into his Columbia jacket, since its labelled as interchangeable. Nope, no way. The zippers are not compatible at all, but this is an issue with Columbia's labeling. I've looked at other shells since and others also listed as interchangeable will not zip in and others that are not listed as interchangeable will.
