Summary: down sweater - marmot 2009-01-06
Comment: This sweater is about 2" shorter than a regular down "jacket". Warm enough for moderate climes. Need to layer with marmot soft shell for below zero temperatures. Really nice water repellancy, very nice inside collar, good zipper. Interior [inside pockets] drawstrings work well and stay out of the way. Two zippered outside pockets, one inside - could use some more pockets. Well made good product.

Summary: Confortable & warm 2008-11-25
Comment: This is a wonderful jacket for dry cold weather. It won't do for climbing in harsh weather (it lacks a hood) but is great for when I walk my 2 golden retrievers out on a farm when it's 30-40 degF and windy. I also have an older 700-fill Marmot Mountain Down Jacket for much colder weather, and these are both really warm products. The quality, fit, and finish of these garments is nothing short of outstanding. And the fitting guide is spot-on. I have found North Face products to be equipped with sleeves that are waaaay too long. Marmot has no such problem. Plus, the Dark Inca/Tempest color is sharp lookin'. Needless to say, I'm sold on their products.
