I am an experienced skier. 30 years of steep and deep. I really like this parka. It is sturdy and well designed. There are plenty of zipper pockets outside for maps, gloves, extra hats. There are little velcro pockets inside for cell phone, radio, or gps. There is a nice zipper pocket next to the main zipper that I use for $$ and glasses. It has the "D" ring for lift passes or your gloves.
The fleece inside jacket is nice and could be used alone as a lightweight jacket. It has cell phone pockets too.
Anyway, it has a nice feel. I'm a stocky guy 5'10" 190 and the XL is ideal. I normally wear XL tee-shirts or polo shirts. The drawcord at the waist helps cinch things up.
I plan to use it mainly as a shell, but if it is really blowing the zippered fleece will come in handy.
Every once and awhile when I'm buying online I open the box and almost immediately want to order another one before they are out of stock....... I'm tempted with this one.
