I love this jacket and it definitely kept me warm last winter. My only "beef" with the jacket is that is has to be treated with a special product after you wash it in order to be water resistant. So, you might want to consider some sort of Gore-Tex (or other similar product) if you want a jacket that has less maintenance issues.

Keeps you warm in cold weather (tested in 20 degrees with wind and snow) but too warm for being active. A walk in the city is perfect. A walk in the woods is not.

I think some of the best features are as follows:
- Lightweight: It's really amazing how little weight this coat carries. I tried on a North Face parka before I got this and I realized why it was so warm - the NF parka must have weighted 10 pounds. It was exhausting lugging it around. The Mountain Hardware Downtown coat is not heavy at all.
- Really Warm Hood: The detachable hood is lined with down and the drawstring pulls it down nicely. Keeps your head nice and warm - remember that you lose a lot of heat from your noggin!
- Fleece-lined Pockets: Your hands feel snug as bug in the pockets. You almost...Read more
