My only "beef" with the jacket is that is has to be treated with a special product after you wash it in order to be water resistant. It averaged around 20 degrees for high temps last week. And I have to say this coat has been great. It really keeps you warm and toasty, I feel myself getting pretty warm if I'm taking a brisk walk. And I can easily get by wearing just a t-shirt, no sweaters necessary! I think some of the best features are as follows:
- Lightweight: It's really amazing how little weight this coat carries. I tried on a North Face parka before I got this and I realized why it was so warm - the NF parka must have weighted 10 pounds. It was exhausting lugging it around. The Mountain Hardware Downtown coat is not heavy at all. - Really Warm Hood: The detachable hood is lined with down and the drawstring pulls it down nicely.
