I bought this to replace a similarly styled windbreaker of about ten years old. I ended up getting that old one repaired and wear it for more informal trips out, or messy job days. The new jacket, however (1) looks much better, (2) sheds water far batter, and (3) can be scrunched up and packed much easier and with no wrinkles. I save it for more formal trips out and rainier days. One feature I would have really liked that my older windbreaker did have is snaps that go all the way up. The Port Authority only has two snaps at the bottom of the jacket. Not enough closure using the snaps.
I don't like to use the zipper because I can't get my hands inside the jacket as easily. It's a nice warm jacket on a windy day!
