This review is from: Tour Master Transition Series 2 Jacket - X-Large/Hi-Visibility Yellow A real nice value; having the right pockets, the right ventilation options, good fit, nice zipper closures, a servicable liner; though the insulated liner's nothing you'd wear when removed from the jacket. The jacket collar has a clever securing snap when worn in an open position. The back protection "pad" is a bit on the flimsy side, and I intend to insert an upgraded type in its place. The arm and shoulder armor is well positioned and stays properly aligned with the body areas they're designed to protect. The jacket doesn't "ride up" on your body when you're seated on the bike like a few other 3/4 length jackets I've owned. All-in-all I'm very pleased with the flexibility and range of weather conditions the jacket is suitable for. We've had a few odd spring days which started out in the mid-30's and finished off in the upper 80's and I was able to configure the jacket to be perfectly comfortable throughout the range... I'd easily recommend it to my riding buddies. By Curtis Deondre Cook (Baltimore) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I'm still finding a new pocket each day. Airflow is good. However the shoulder vents will really puff the jacket up, when riding a sport bike so beware. The jacket far exceeded my expectations and I would definite recommend it for anyone riding in the fall and winter. " By optofonik (SoCal) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Let me first say I own this jacket and like it because I knew what I was getting into. Think of this as a little better than a Levi's denim jacket due to the armor and padding and, most importantly, the hi-viz. Hi-viz is why I bought this jacket and as such it is just that. It is blindingly bright in daylight; however, I wish there was a little more reflective material for night riding. From what I understand ballistic poly is easier to dye than nylon so it may be impossible to do nylon hi-viz. Keep all this in mind or you may be disappointed. NOW THE BAD NEWS This jacket is not made of ballistic nylon. Ballistic nylon is a product of WWII. It was used to make flak jackets. The new "poly" materials and their proprietarily named offshoots are a product of consumer markets and the demand for cheap "protective" clothing. Ballistic nylon is a single use material for motorcycle jackets. It will tear so keep your armor in at all...Read more |
