The quality of the jacket is extremely high and we are both pleased with the purchase. The price was very reasonable - especially for something he will outgrow much quicker than wear out. As for the details - many a product is killed by the details. The zippers are always a concern on BIG jackets - meaning bulky and riding jackets tend to be bulky. The zippers on this jacket haven't hung once which is great. The pulls on the zippers are a little on the large side which is also a huge plus wearing gloves! The designers obviously USE what they design. As for the use of velcro in the jacket, it is where it is supposed to be with a wide range of adaptability and easy to use. As for the vendor, it was shipped quickly and in the right amount of packaging. This review is from: Tour Master Youth Jett 2 Jacket - Large/Silver/Black This looks better in person than on the computer. My son is just under 5' tall and weighs about 75 lbs. The large fits him perfectly. With the adjustability of all the straps, I think we should get a couple years out of this jacket. The adjustment straps on the sleeves stop the arm from flapping in the wind and the adjustment straps around the waist and bottom of jacket makes it look tailored fit! If I pull all the adjustment straps to the minimum position, it almost fits my 6 year old.
Even tho it has a waterproof liner inside, I sprayed the outside it with some Camp Dry fabric waterproofing to help should we get into rain. Great reflective piping and strips around jacket. Protective armor is positioned exactly where it should be which make me feel better taking him for rides. Lots of pockets also. He thinks its cool.
